^What’d you think?
Rampage was a good time. Solid action. Rock was charming as always. Jeffrey Dean Morgan was hammy in a good way. Malik Ackerman is the least intimidating evil CEO ever. Someone start an Oscar campaign for George.

I don't care about the humans. Was there copious amounts of monster action and was it a combination of both "lol" and "fucking awesome"?
Coco looked pretty damn good, and was a good movie. Pixar as usual always pulling at strings, but it was enjoyable.

every wes anderson movie would be better as a short. one of my favorite things he did was the adrien brody train thing just because it was shorter

Just watched You Were Never Really Here.
I'd be surprised if I see a better movie this year. Just fantastic. What a score by Jonny Greenwood too.
Second movie I've seen by Lynne Ramsay (other being We Need to Talk About Kevin). Both excellent.

By Kibner Go To PostSmokey, you ever finished watching either of the Blade Runner movies?
I only got 2049, haven't seen it yet . Had single father duties the weekend I got it, and chose to watch Coco with my son instead.

Need to watch the original. It’s the basis for cyberpunk and pretty much created the entire genre along with William Gibson’s shorts and books. Funny story William Gibson had to rewrite a lot of Neuromancer because he thought everyone would think he stole ideas from
Blade Runner.

Accurate. That cut should have never made it to theaters.

That article is real good, cheers for posting Apollo.
Ridley Scott has made one amazing movie in his entire career.

I liked the article but I think the one problem I have with it is that "English as primacy" framework isn't an assumption. It's a fact.
This is why I'm super interested in how live-action Mulan turns out. How will Disney make a movie that will almost inevitably alienate its Asian American audience for a much bigger audience overseas?

Can you give a bit of an explanation or link me some place to bone up on what you mean by this?
It's perhaps my favorite Disney movie so I'm actually pretty interested in this live-action version.

Most criticism is an assumption because you do not know the intention of the artist

Jesus, the Mummy (1999) 4K transfer is gorgeous. Easily one of the best looking UHD discs I own.
And Lego Batman looks eye-poppingly good with HDR.
