By reilo Go To PostThat's a good summary of Altered Carbon.Regarding the spoiler, it felt like bottom tier trash like Arrow.
The script is just a bit all over the place, and the flashback episodes have great set design but the plot construction is like, a tier below Battlestar Galactica even.
I think it's at its best when it focuses on the detective plot because it's able to tell a decent neo-noir story.
The bit where Kovac and Ortega have to fight in the underground fight bunker against some weird human hybrids only to be saved by a deus ex ninja sister was pretty fucking awful, though.
By Laboured Go To PostWeird for a show to have such high production values with some randomly SyFy level acting and writing at times.Yup. The writing is falling off the cliff quite often, you get a sense of what was actually in the book and what some not so talented writer made up.
Enjoying AC but it's not a great sign when you're left thinking I wish more of the actors could act as well as Joel fucking Kinnaman.
Quite a shame, because the production values are there and they got the right feeling/setting.
Amazon's Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is excellent. I've only watched the first two episodes but it's very refreshing and easy to see why it's being praised. There's certainly nothing else like it currently airing. Definitely nothing as Jewish.
Rachel Brosanhan is a delight. And she goes topless again in the first episode if you need an additional reason to seek this out. There are also some incredibly long complex camera shots where they're moving the screen all over the place within a large set. It's really well done. Good soundtrack as well.

It's ok, definately a better first season than tng/ds9. My biggest issue is the nothing bridge crew, but understandably they're not the focus here.
By Laboured Go To PostOk multiple naked Lachmans is gud.
I read this as multiple Lahmacuns

BTW, the answer is that the nullity is the dimension of the kernel of the map represented by the matrix and by the Rank-Nullity theorem, we have that the nullity is the dimension minus the rank, or in other words, it is the number of zero rows in the row reduced echelon form.
Good to know Fortune. You're going to like her
brother. Wish there was more of him and Midge together. 👍🏽
Finished the series and it's definitely one of the best new shows. Really loved just about everything they did.
I don't know how they'll keep Joel in the picture if they don't have him and Midge get back together which I hope they don't do.

high production values w/ SyFy level acting/writing? where do i sign up? i love some well-made trash
I watched the fourth episode of Electric Dreams (on the Amazon Prime running order) and I have to say this is truly a bad show. How on earth do you get Steve Buscemi or Bryan Cranston and get a bad, uncharismatic performance out of them?. The writing is so lazy at times, characters are constantly having premonition dreams and the exposition is dreadful.
After seeing maybe 5 minutes of each of their shows. Dennis and Dee from It's Always Sunny are literally playing the same character on different shows.
By domino Go To PostHaven't seen Dennis show but dee is perfect on the mick

Dee's Fox show is alright though. I don't have it on the weekly rotation, but I've seen the entire first season and there are some good laughs in there. The kids, nanny and Jimmy all take turns.
Aimee Mann's cameo in American Crime Story singing the Cars song "Drive" was pretty damn awesome. I really want an audio recording of that.
Cautiously optimistic they'll fix the mistakes of Season 1 e.g. pretend like the neighbor never existed and trim the episode count down a smidge.

Wait kill grave is back
By Kidjr Go To PostWait kill grave is backI assume it's flashbacks to Jessica's past?
or no one really dies in comic book stuff, lol.

Hope he is back, think season one was really elevated by him.
Finished Altered Carbon. Some wanky acting and the overall story is a bit weak, but overall enjoyable. Would be down for a second season no doubt.
Also appreciated full nudity on Ortega. Cracking batty and a great pair of babylons.

Started Handmaiden's Tale. Slow as shit pilot. They better speed up how the world became this way quick or I can already tell I'm going to lose interest. The flashbacks don't help.
If they follow the books, there's gonna be a pretty stark change of setting. Bring in a new cast and better writers, up the budget, if possible, and you've got a great sci-fi show.

i aint know she had all that going on under those wacky outfits
she tight as shit damn
also very much enjoying this season, nearly complete--show is a real spectacle in 4k hdr
Finished Handmaiden's Tale last night. I'm not sure how this is the best new drama of the year, but it was worth watching. They take massive liberties with their world building logic that I just couldn't buy into and it hurts the overall experience.
Well acted; well shot; and the tension that is built out of the situations the characters - particularly Moss - find themselves in is compelling, it's just surrounded and supported by shallow logic when you break it all down.

legit sweaty palms when you see her muff.
This isn't about a February show ...
I've been watching some TV on the weekend mornings when letting my wife sleep in some. I get to watch stupid shit she normally would be adverse too while chilling with my newborn. I've been watching Jean Claude Van Johnson on Prime Video and I have to admit, I think it's fucking amazing. It's hilarious. The show doesn't take itself seriously at all and is basically one giant season of Van Damme doing self deprecation.
Highly recommend the season to anyone who loved 80's and 90's action movies.

Finished Better Things season 2 the other night. FX really does have the best comedies and has for sometime now.
Oh, I've been watching the End of the Fucking World and while it's kind of decent and watchable, as an English person there's something that doesn't sit right with me. It's a bit too slick and everyone's too charismatic and I don't generally understand the production design in the slightest.
Atlanta is so good. It's not even complicated. It just works well and feels authentic. I didn't even know the guest star was starring it, so that was a legit surprise.
"Florida Man shoots unarmed black teenager"
