Also Iran is obeying the nuclear deal.

Funny line from that article:
Two of Elemental’s biggest early clients were the Mormon church, which used the technology to beam sermons to congregations around the world, and the adult film industry, which did not.
But yeah, one thing this article makes glaringly obvious is how manufacturing of computer chips is maybe the one thing you should probably just never outsource. China basically rootkit'ing everybody out here.
But think of all the money that can be saved. You never know when you’ll need 50 billion dollar rainy day fund
By Fenderputty Go To PostThis is payment for our 2016 sins. The SCOTUS was a major issue for anyone who didn't have their priorities all fucked up. You can say Hillary was a bad candidate (she was), or that racism and foreign fuckery affected the election (they did), but the SCOTUS was a constant variable regardless of one's opinion. If 2-3 SCOTUS seats weren't enough of a reason for you to go vote, you're getting what you deserve. Period.Eh even farther back. Fuckstick wouldn't even be a judge if not for the Bush era. Honestly a lot of our shit stinks. Presidents stacking Supreme Courts is stupid. If it's an actual branch independent of the Executive why does the Executive get to pick and choose who gets on it? In fact Presidents just being able to appoint people into the judiciary is fucking stupid. And Presidents residing over and dictating what the FBI or intelligence agencies can or can't probe into? Hilarious. The fuck we call ourselves a democracy for if we allow so much power vested in the executive?

I don’t disagree, but IMO, tbis just means we missed our opportunity. I suppose you could argue Clinton would have galvanized the right giving the GOP a generation of power, but it would come with the benefit of an liberal ideologically aligned court. Currently we may get a wave, but we’ve lot the scotus for at least a decade
It wouldn't have changed the result but I wouldn't have been so furious with this if Chuck Schumer wasn't the one in charge. He's the definition of "feckless"

I know what you mean.
midterms can't come soon enough
This whole month is the biggest tease. I will legit be taking Nov. 7 off so that on Nov. 6 I can have pizza and popcorn all night watching the returns to read NRA/Russian tears, especially Fox News.

Why? Just cuz I refer to Republicans as Russians now? That's what everybody needs to be doing. Fuck Republicans.

By Random Ass Username Go To PostI'm the type asshole who asks why we even have a SCOTUS at this point in time.Solid point in your previous post. At this point even packing the courts is becoming a left to center take. Honestly our whole federal government needs reshaping, LA alone has a bigger population that a bunch of midwest states combined but has to share senators with the rest of Cali. We are not a democracy at the federal level, simple as that.
By Flutter Go To PostReading about Kissinger genuinely makes me rage.Fucking hilarious that he was invited to speak at McBrain''s funeral given that he extended the war.

Like if a thing is supposed to be as non-partisan as possible and our only defense is to make it more partisan in our favor it's pretty much voided the entire premise of its existence.
Also you're right about Senators, having the house capped is bullshit too.
Isn't that what Brexit wants? To get rid of NHS? I have to admit, that truly would be the bigger cock up than Trump. At least we've never had a NHS. You guys just want to throw it away.
Ok then yeah we've still got you lot beat. The lunatics here aren't fringe at all, no, they get freedom of religion and the right to bear military-grade arms. Oh, and their very own Russian president. You ought to see that wanker's signature.
Get Schumer outta here.
How do you not have your caucus aligned on a vote like this is beyond me. This is gross negligence

A claim the Leave campaign immediately distanced itself from the very same day that they won.
Up to Collins it seems. Manchin will likely vote to confirm or not based on her decision. iMo at least
Why are people still giving Collins and Murkowski any credit for anything? If they really cared, they would have said no, day 1. The party knew he was toxic from the fucking jump.
This.
By Smokey Go To Postjust get it over with it this point t
This.
Murkowski is a... no?
I dunno, I feel like out of all the GOP senators she's at least shown internal consistency with what she believes. The only contentious vote where she went with the GOP mainstream is the Tax Bill and she played her leverage right and got a lot of concessions for Alaska out of it. I'm not mad at her.

Collins will vote no. The majority in Maine prefer a no. Whether a yes or no is more damaging for reelection is actually debatable--what's not is the opportunity she has here to define her legacy as a moderate defender of women's rights. A yes vote really betrays what she stands for imo.

If she wants to have a lucrative lobbying career depends on her voting yes. There's very little I see that can change her from an Yes today to a No tomorrow

You're giving too much credit
That's my point. Unless I'm missing something, she was perfectly okay with this bigoted lieing pos being nominated, before the allegations. Everyone in that party knew what he was about and was cool with. If I'm wrong then I'll hold that. I'm not giving her credit, because Flake and co keep giving her an out on the national stage.

I mean yea, optics matter. Nobody becomes a senator by doing what they think is actually right 100% of the time. But there are a lot of eyes on this one, and the biteback against her in her home state is going to be something serious if she's a yes...and really, the deciding yes.
I am sure she will be a no. My real fear and one nobody is talking about...I think Manchin says fuck it and is the deciding vote to push him through. He's never been the deciding vote really before, but this is an issue West Virginian's are a little too amped up about, and would put him in a real sweet spot for re-election.
As for Collins' money. She's rich and will be like 68 in 2020. I don't know how focused she is on lobbying. She'll probably run for Governor in the future.
They'll vote yes. One last hurrah before the blue wave crashes on the GOP.
Gotta get a republican in SC as a safety net.

I don't even know why people are surprised nor do they put their hopes up that someone in that room has a moment of not being a wretched shitbag. The fix was in when this whole mess started they're just a bit perturbed being sidelined. We keep up and work within broken systems and expect better outcomes, lmao.
