By Random Ass Username Go To PostFBI (and CIA) is probably right pissed. Imagine spending your whole career basically being a cold warrior and keeping secrets out of Russian hands only for our fucking commander in chief to be a Russian mole, effectively rendering your decades of work a fucking useless endeavor.
Crazy part?
Said commander-in-chief an't even a super serect brainwashed mole either. Nor a "ITS ME AUSTIN" type mole. Its just a dude who's playin the "but he says he loves me and I can change him" part in a 80s after school special about bad boys
By YungMagus Go To PostCrazy part?Don't think he is playing that role at all... he is a manchild who loves attention, always has. Putin helped him get it to one of the big boy seats so the dude a nice guy

hey she voted against a motion to keep the UK in the customs union today. So much for angry speeches when they're just shit-talk and lies coming from the mouth of a cunt.
By Laboured Go To PostThere is a solution to this.
Should call it the Logan's Run act.

They've all posted since the latest spy arrest so you haven't gone deep enough yet.

Apparently it's not clear that Trump breached any protocol or etiquette in meeting the Queen. Willing to give him a pass then.

To be fair, it is indeed the case that Corbyn often colors the middle part of his mustache jet black. Just the middle, like an inch of it. Nowhere else.
"...amid claims by Corbyn supporters that they don’t want to stifle debate about Israel’s treatment of Palestinians."
Doesn't seem like.... a preposterous position?

This is like the Manchurian Candidate. Only the trick was not hypnosis, but finding the most gullible attention seeking rich American available.

5 people getting immunity for ratting on Manafort
Yeah, I read about DY's immunity earlier. It's limited, "use" immunity or something. They don't get a full walk, it's just that whatever they say in court under oath can't be used against them later. In the words of Eazy E, "don't quote me, boy, 'cause I ain't said shit."

Staved off the recession for a few more years by artificially boosting the economy with tax cuts. If any of you are looking to buy a house just wait for the inevitable crash in two years to lock in some low rates and cheaper property costs.

Wtf are you talking about
Rates are still low too. Rates will go up though due to the inflationary nature of any tax cuts (fiscal stimulus) during near full employment.
Holy shit Person A got played lol
By Apollo Go To PostAbolish ICE people are just trying to kill the blue wave. How so?
By FermentedFungi Go To PostHow so?
I’m assuming the enthusiasm gap. Only sure way to fire up the right is to appeal to their fears. Democrats wanting “open border by abolishing ICE” is a way to do that. They’re also doing the “show up and vote or Trump is impeached” card to motivate their base
By Fenderputty Go To PostWtf are you talking aboutI was talking about the FED rates m8, you know like the actual cost of money.

You said “staved off recession”. Which is cataforized as two consecutive quarters of negative growth. If you think rates were gonna cause a recession, then the tax breaks didn’t stave off shit

They’re also doing the “show up and vote or Trump is impeached” card to motivate their baseThe thing is, the dems/left can literally compromise on everything and the Repubs will still pull the "Pelosi wants to invite MS-13 members to rape your daughter in front of you as they wave an antifa flag" card. The only reason there is a blue wave to begin with is because the established democratic party fucked up royally. The resistance to any actual left leaning policies/actions from the dems goes to show how far right this country has gone as a whole. Fuck trying to play into the GOP's narrative, the left needs to create its own.
Apollo most of the Abolish ICE support comes from latino/chicano groups that have felt the very direct disruption and discrimination that has been caused by ICE.

I don’t really agree with the logic, for reasons you mention, I just think that’s the logic behind the statement. I think they would also caution that it could hurt dem enthusiasm as well depending on the state. You’re not exactly arguing with republicans in here and I think only Randolph and I wanted relaxed immigration regs

I do agree that each state/district is different but we've seen that "extreme" positions taken by individuals/groups have not hurt the GOP, so to say that somehow the people farther left are going to "ruin" the blue wave is a ridiculous standpoint. Centrist where in full force with the "socialist will lose elections for the democrats" narrative when Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won her primary, even though she just beat a top level democrat. It pretty much sounds like "know your place and stay in line", if anything these kind of moments in history are times for the left to really galvanize and push issues to the fore front be it issues concerning unions, medicare, criminal justice system, etc. Especially since the right has done so much damage in such short amount of time.

Was thinking about holocaust denial earlier, and realised that it's the only historical tragedy I can think of where a sizable number of people plain deny that it happened at all (maybe the Armenian genocide, but I'm not sure if people deny that it happened or if they deny the scale of it)
Is there such thing as African-American slavery-deniers, or people who don't think that the war against native Americans actually happened?
Or South African apartheid, the killing fields, Stalin's forced famine in Ukraine etc

I'm sure you'll find deniers of all kinds.
See: Infowars, Newtown.
I think there's degrees to it. There's definitely slavery deniers - it's especially crazy because of the scope of it all. The bloodshed is one thing, but people even deny it as a cause of war and the magnitude of it on the economic side. It's not like it only touched America either.
But when it comes to the genocide of native Americans? People largely don't even know of it. And that's institutionalized denial over generations combined with ignorance in general.
I'd rather have an atrocity contested in the most horrible of ways than see it basically forgotten.
