Fans knew that Tom Hardy had a cameo in the upcoming The Last Jedi, much like Princes Harry and William and Take That singer Gary Barlow, but sources have reportedly revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that they all appear in a scene together as Stormtroopers.
According to the outlet, sources revealed "that not only will the two royals, plus Hardy and Barlow, appear in The Last Jedi and as Stormtroopers, but they all appear together in the same scene. THR understands that the four will be seen guarding Boyega's character, Finn, in an elevator, surely making it Star Wars' most secretly star-studded sequence of all time."
These details line up with the information Boyega himself shared earlier this summer.
When Boyega was appearing on BBC Radio 4’s “Today” program, the actor revealed of the cameos, “I think they took that scene out. I’ve had enough with those Prince William secrets, man. They came on set; they were there, man. Tom Hardy was there, too – I said it. I’m sick of hiding this… Every time I get asked I don’t know how to dodge it. Yeah, they were on set.”

Pre-ordered my ticket when they were released because of Rian Johnson. I fully expect him to deliver something new and interesting.
Going to wander in on Thursday as I have the week off work. If the place is full I'm going to kick over some pick n' mix stands.
As a side note: I got into Johnson the moment I caught onto Brick and went on to love everything he's directed, and at no point in my wildest notions would I have ever considered he'd be the Lucasfilm poster child for directing the fucking Star Wars franchise. Insane.

Really enjoyed it. That part with Leia was super fucking dumb, but other than that it was pretty amazing. Some incredible scenes. Best performance was Snoke imo.
Just finished TFA again and I'm reminded how much of the movie is a mix of dick teases and hood-winking. It's an ok platform for future movies provided those movies take that mantle forward.
I don't know what to say, other than TFA moved up a spot on the list.
Every Star Wars film has left me with a sense of awe and wonderment. This just felt like what happens when you put an artsy director in charge of a blockbuster.

No strong feelings either way. I didn’t think his character was great though
Okay, not fully processed my thoughts but...
Great stuff:
- I felt so much happened by the end I'd just watched 2 excellent Star Wars movies in one, and that is a good thing. Massive contrast with TFA on that score.
- The whole scene with Snoke dying and the guard room lightsaber fight was wonderful and probably one of the better moments in any Star Wars film, not just because the build up and the execution, but because they just ramped everything up and set everything on a completely different course.
- Use of various themes and paying off on them throughout the film, there are like a lot of examples of this. Really shows that the director wrote the fucking thing.
- Luke Skywalker's force projection walking out in front of the AT-AT walkers was just pure spine-chilling boner cinema.
- The opening scene was so action-packed (in a good way) that it would be the end crescendo for most movies.
- Loooove Rey's back story. So good, and important to the aforementioned themes.
Good stuff:
- Performances were generally good across the board. Driver, Fisher, Hamill and Serkis probably couldn't have played their parts any better, while Isaacs, Ridley and Boyega get to fill out their characters a lot more this time round (think Ridley has simply become a better actor in the intervening years). Felt like the writers aren't quite sure where to go with Gleeson's character - he's tonally uneven.
- Pacing was very good overall but the middle part (especially Finn's section) lost some lustre. My God does the Final third make up for that though.
- Think the moving on of the old cast is mostly done now, which was a necessity, and they can take off the reigns for future films which is what they need to do.
- Porgs are not actually annoying.
Not as good stuff:

I just want to go through every single line of that script and tick, tick, tick every single moment that just got Star Wars. Because there was so, so many. From almost every single character. From almost every single scene.
It struck that amazing balance of corniness and cheesiness that lets me enjoy Star Wars as much as I do. It had such well set up character motivation; everyone was making decisions that made sense, saying things that fit where the characters should be.
I'm not going to go into spoilers right now because I'm struggling to articulate my thoughts. But it was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. It was a hell of a crowd-pleasing blockbuster, but it did the thing that made everyone fall in love with Star Wars in the first place: it had heart. It had heart all over the place. Holdo said shit that got Star Wars. Leia said shit that got Star Wars. Luke and Kylo said so much shit that got Star Wars, deconstructed Star Wars, flipped it on its head, recontextualised it, gave it new meaning, more meaning.
Driver, Isaac and Ridley all brilliant, especially Driver; he does so much with so little. Hamill and Fisher very good too. Thought that Leia moment early had the potential to be silly but because it was so earnest and full on in its love for the character and implications elsewhere, it fucking worked.
Hux was fucking great, love that snivelling shit he does, and the conflict between him and Kylo was class. The porgs were fucking great; never overused, always funny, always giving Chewie great character moments. BB-8 was fucking great and got loads of hero shit. Snoke was fucking great, so well-performed and pantomime and slimy in all the right ways.
Looked gorgeous. Crait was sensational. Sounded gorgeous. The sound design with the Holdo bit in the last act just tops.
The only complaint I have is that Finn was a little underused; Boyega wasn't given any real heroic parts or stand out moments comparatively to everyone else, wasn't able to display his charisma outside of the first few times he appeared. Canto Bight was a really cool locale but some of that fell a little flat for me.
I really really enjoyed The Force Awakens. It really got what Star Wars looks like. This one fucking nailed what Star Wars feels like.
Will get into spoilers when it becomes part of discussion, but I will just mention one now:
The Yoda scene might be my favourite across all SW films. Every single thing he did and said was just... it was so Star Wars.

When factoring in trailer, I'm about 7 hours away from seeing this. Hell, I really wonder what trailers will be in front of it. I'm sure Wheel of Time will be there. I had to close my eyes before the showing of Three Billboards last weekend.
Not really a fan of the Casino scene, but after Rose talked about the worst place of the Galaxy and the establishing shot shows what's basically Space Monaco got a laugh out of me.

After waking up after 4 hours of sleep and sitting at my desk as work, I still feel that movie is stuck in first gear. It just can't shift out of it until the very end. I know, I know, it's Star Wars, but goddamn did it feel like the plot keep groups of people stuck in a place for an eternity, one group of people in particular. And the detour to Monaco, ie Casino land was brutal, as was everything that Laura Dern had to do. That was a completely unnecessary swerve. How you gonna waste Justin Theroux like that?
