By matmanx1 Go To PostSo are you keeping both?
No, that was the goodbye picture. Before and after.
My next purchase won't be until around April, May or June. The family car. Probably another Jag, trying to find XF R-Sports or well equipped F-Pace and tune it. :O My tuning hardware eeks out 412HP from these 3.0s.
Hah, as though the heavens opened up, it's your future ride, Alpha:

Makes sense they'd do this. The F-Pace SVR just came out, and the two cars basically the same underneath. I'm looking at a 2019 Land Rover Discovery at the moment, I didn't realize how affordable they were.
Any recommendations for towels or other materials to wash bugs and dirt off my car in between full car washes? Meguiar's drying towel seems to be getting some good word in my brief searching: https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-X2000-Magnet-Microfiber-Drying/dp/B0009IQZFM/

The 3 Jag guys that play at my football sessions have all taken redundancy, a wife of a friend has taken redundancy and the 2 Jag managers in my street are looking for new jobs.
Friend at a letting agent has had Jag clients looking for ways to settle their leases as they're out, too.
Just ordered some cleaning supplies for the Cayman. I looked up some "best of" lists and cross checked them for commonalities and decided on this:

If so it will really cut down on the time and effort to clean it. With the ceramic coating dirt and dust just falls off with a little water and a soft towel.

Wait, so Alpha got rid of the XKR and got that crazy XKR-S instead? Nice. That's gotta be fun as hell to jump into everyday. Those seats are insane! 👺
By reilo Go To PostI just saw a new 8-Series out in the wild. That thing is stunning.Yep, saw one the other day.
I saw one a few weeks ago as well...and it looked like it was designed by 2 different people. Idk. It's got cool factor, but it doesn't wow me.
We agree more often than not...I mean, I convinced the guy to buy an F-Type R after 2 years of endless badgering.
Got a new set of tires this weekend!
My previous tires(Pirelli Cinturato P7 AS) were the tires that came with a GTI when you bought it new and it somehow survived 40k, with 22k of that being aggressive driving lol.
I really wanted the Pilot Sports AS 3+ but I couldn't justify paying $170 per tire so I went for the G-Max AS-05 instead. Handles great in the dry and quite excellent in wet conditions, and the (lack of) road noise and comfort is quite stellar... and to think these tires are just $100 a piece.
Now that I've got fresh tires, I need to decide what my next mod is going to be. I kinda want the Euro tail lights(basically Audi's dynamic lights for the Golf) but $600 for a pair of fancy lights that I can't see doesn't sound like a good idea so I might go the performance route instead.

What is the best way to repair tiny chips (smaller than a grain of rice) in paint? I washed my Sonata today and noticed a handful of tiny chips where the metal is starting to show through.
As I've been saying for ages now, Jaguar is NOT going full electric. They're going electrified. Their all new Ingenium I6 has been revealed, and it's fucking brilliant.

It's got a small electric motor, electric supercharger, 48V battery/mild hybrid system, turbocharger, it's an inline-6 and it makes 400HP. This kind of motor in an F-Type would be un-fucking-real. First car to get it is the Range Rover Sport HST. Next will probably be a refresh for the XF-S and then F-Pace.

Peon car, just take care of your Porsche, son.
I too would like to know.

I-Pace?

Googled them. None. The one I saw had way more aggressive styling

There really isn't one. Get a paint pen for your color, and dab them. It's infuriating, but the only way. Eventually, you'll just want to spend $200 and respray the bumper.

Eventually, you'll just want to spend $200 and respray the bumper.Yuck. Some of the chips are on the hood, and other non-bumper parts. I might just use a paint pen or something just to prevent rust. This car will only be used for trips with significant luggage or hauling dogs around now, so I don't need it to be pretty.
Thanks for the advice, though!
Yay, successfully installed the Craven Speed Gemini phone mount in the gf's Mini. I dropped a screw which fell through the steering column and was caught by the knee bolster. Had to figure out how to get that piece off without breaking it. Thankfully, it was quite easy and everything seems to be working just fine!
By Epic Games Store Go To Posti know nothing about cars but kinda want to buy an e-tron this year. dumb or no?
Do it, Steam Games Store.
Wait for the E-Tron GT
By AlphaSnacks Go To PostAs I've been saying for ages now, Jaguar is NOT going full electric. They're going electrified. Their all new Ingenium I6 has been revealed, and it's fucking brilliant. This is honestly the best case scenario for people who actually like to drive and have fun with cars. You get the benefits of the electric torque but still get the sound and fury of the ICE motor. I expect Porsche will be doing a bunch of these in the near future, obviously with their own engine tech.

So I totally didn't post a pic last night. But of course, it's another Jag! What else would it be?
This is my fifth now. This F-Pace S is sensational, and it rides on 22s. It handles like a sports-sedan, which is extremely bizarre to say the least for a car of this size. I haven't driven a good handling SUV since the original Infiniti FX back in the day. Of course cars like the Cayenne and (to a lesser extent) Macan exist, but they're few and far in between. There's usually a large trade off with a great handling SUV, but Porsche and Jaguar have basically perfected this art-form of having a ton of sporting credential, and yet retaining a dignified ride.
Anyway, this car would normally be WAY WAY out of my price range. This is a $70,000 car - it is quite loaded up. Even has the brown leather, which is somewhat of a rare option. The story of how I acquired it I probably shouldn't share publicly online, but it simply comes down to a great dealer going through great lengths for a guy who simply loves the product and they want to retain his business. They may have also been a bit concerned when they found out I bought the XKR-S at another dealer 100 miles away lol.

innit, the layoffs would have been double if it wasn't for our man here. Thanks for keeping people employed in my area.

That new Jag motor with the e-supercharger is insane. There was a guy on GAF that had an electric supercharger on his FRS/BRZ, anyone else remember that?

Thanks guys. It's one hell of a car. The 4-banger 30t just wouldn't have felt the same, even though it did have properly solid power to haul it. This supercharged V6 is just a great motor and pairs great for the car's weight. Though I will admit the 30t felt spritely because it's 200lbs lighter than the V6 35t it replaced, while being down 40HP, and 300lbs lighter than my F-Pace S. I can understand why the Ingenium 4 30t replaced the mid-level supercharged AJ-V6 motor.

He briefly made it to SLAENT and posted for a while. I forgot his name, he was from Japan and actively shopping for a Ferrari too right?
I am indeed, Alpha. Warwick. Very close to the Gaydon and Coventry sites. routinely drive the country roads around the Gaydon site area.
I just revealed Tavarish's new car on my IG.
My hint about "Roman" weeks back was Fate of the Furious, Roman's car was an orange Lambo Murci. :p
Awesome. I look forward to visiting in August.

Followed a new BMW 330i on the road today. Good looking car, albeit not as good looking as an A4 or XE.
The rear taillights definitely have more definition in them than any past BMW -- which are rather flat in comparison now -- that just doesn't come through in pictures. At first glance you think "Lexus" but it really isn't very similar at all especially if you see them side-by-side.
