I'll be able to tell my kids about the good ole days of gaming when we blew in cartridges, games came complete in the package and you only had to pay once.

.
Not surprised, it's why the VC grind gets worse every year and shows no sign of slowing down. I'll keep complaining and not spending money on VC and stick to play now from now on.
GODDAMN!
I'm afraid to see the numbers FIFA is doing. I know so far this year I've probably spent at least $200 on it. $120 for the megadeluxe edition and another $80 on packs. I can't help myself. FUT is crack.

It kind of boggles my mind that this thing outsells almost every Zelda on a yearly basis even though it's a minor upgrade + degrade so they have something to re-upgrade later on.
Also, that there are that many people in the world with the time for this thing.

"ehhh it's only a couple buck" ad nauseam
By Grimsat Go To PostGeneral consumers just don’t care about microtransactions it seems.I’d imagine a lot of people only play 2K yearly so they won’t care about spending points on VC here and there. Some people like to buy 40 games a year and never play 90% of them, for someone who only plays one game whats a $5 purchase here and there?

My favorite part about 2k was the career mode. It went to shit in 17. They won't get any money from me if they just wanna sell VC, skipping 18 because it seems like everything got worse.
I actually enjoyed 2K this year once i got past the initial grind ( thanks to some exploits that were patched) no way in hell i would have bothered otherwise. But considering how ridiculous they went with the VC there's no way i'm getting it next year.
Last one i bought was 2k16 and i don't remember it being anywhere near this bad and i doubt they are suddenly going to dial it back.

didn't buy it this year because the VC shit is getting too ridicoulous. i can easily overlook MT if they are for cosmetic stuff only but this is garbage.
Im not going to lie. Im done with 2K. Im going to go back to 2k17 because I enjoyed the MyCareer with Justice. I despise this MTX but this is a really good opportunity for NBA Live to come back and steal the spotlight. Theres enough discontent from the hardcore where 2k is looking very vulnerable.
Things are just going to get worse from here.
By friskykillface Go To PostThat’s why you buy it on Black Friday for half offOr just don’t buy it.
I don't even care that much about buying the VC itself. It's the audacity of the pay to win + grind like hell system that's infuriating. It's pay to win, you're not fooling anyone, and yet after spending X dollars, you still want me to grind in the gym for a HOF badge.
The only good news is they've been so ambitious with their e-sports nonsense that you've got to imagine there should be improvements in a big way for proam this year.
Really want to play more teamup, but the cost of entry is too high, both in terms of VC and time in the gym for unlocking those badges. I will get the game and play quickplay online as usual though.
