Brian Michael Bendis Signs Exclusive Deal with DC
- Page 1 of 1
This guy has basically been Marvel for the last decade plus. Not sure how good a fit he is at DC, but the inevitable Bat-book will be interesting.
My favourite BMB drinking game is to do a shot every time one of his characters - male, female, young or old, says "the thing is..."
You might need to read 2-3 of his books in a row to get fully drunk, but he's good for that line just about once an issue.

This is the worst news of the day til Trump loses his shit.
Do something about how boring DC is Bendis.
It sucks for Marvel to lose such a talent as BMB is the goat and brought us a decade of greatness. He started his own successful universe. He's fondly remembered for angering comic nerds around the world by killing off Peter Parker and replacing him with Miles Morales.
It just sucks because now there's no one left to stop Marvel from getting rid of Miles.

But Metal is kind of awesome. As is Young Animal.
By Xpike Go To Postcant wait for the 4 crossover events per year for DC now
LOL Bendis isn't going to have that kind of pull. Dan and Jim run DC.
If you think DC is boring you hate good writing and comics in general. Stick to Squirrel Girl and other comics about fat girls
I read some of Bendis' early independent stuff (Fire in particular) and it was terrible. One of the worst things I've ever read. Just pure adolescent male wish fulfillment garbage with unbearably corny and unrealistic dialogue.
So his Marvel stuff is apparently good?

Sucks for Marvel, but BMB has been repeating himself a little too much in the past few years, a change of scenery might do both him and Marvel some good.
@KingGondo
His Marvel stuff is hit and miss. I enjoyed his early run on Avengers, after Civil War, but what I would categorize as real classics and must-reads are Daredevil, Ultimate Spiderman, and Alias.
From his independent stuff I've only read Powers, which is really enjoyable, even though it's full of his trademark Bendis speak.
