The lore and shit was cool but I wanted to see and interact with it as anybody but him… But just having a skin change wouldn't have solved that problem I reckon
I've seen plenty of criticisms of Geralt, dude is basically Batman from the Nolan movies, but that didn't keep The Dark Knight from being a classic. Same for the Witcher games. The characterization of the side characters and the writing of some of the missions like the Baron storyline more than make up for it for me.

I can deal with a shitty Batman for 2 hours as long as the rest of the cast is good... I can just focus on the other characters who get near equal screen time, like the Joker. But in W3 I have to invest 40+ hours in a character I really don't like nor have any attachment too? Nope.
Baron quest was great btw
