When Adams began corresponding online with a fan, Ava, in 2013, she was a 14-year-old bass player already forging a career.😒
But their correspondence about music turned into graphic texting. Eventually, Ava said, they conducted video calls on Skype, where Adams exposed himself during phone sex.
The Times has reviewed extensive communication between the two, including 3,217 text messages they exchanged over a nine-month period when Ava was 15 and 16...
In the texts, Adams questioned Ava repeatedly about her age, and sometimes she said she was older than she was. Though he did not seem convinced, their sexual conversations continued
I guess I could post about the decade long shit show that was Zak Smith in the tabletop gaming community finally being publicly exposed, but I don't want to get angry again.

By Kidjr Go To PostIt's so fucking disgusting how active this thread has beenTruly is.
Sad fact is sexual assault is super pervasive and the shit coming out now is just the tip of the iceberg. Most sexual assault occurs in families or between acquaintances, which is what truly makes it a special kind of awful behavior and ultimately even harder to deal with. If the offenders were just simple strangers it's easier to think of them as monsters who need to be dealt with. Instead it's often someone with a lot of connections (emotional and or monetary) and people just want to rug sweep for their convenience or pocket book. Also most people I know personally who were assaulted it was a dad, grand dad or boyfriend/husband.
Also news.

A federal judge ruled Thursday that prosecutors led by current Labor Secretary Alex Acosta broke the law when he was U.S. attorney in Florida. Acosta's team allegedly concealed a plea agreement from more than 30 underage victims who had been sexually abused by billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. Amna Nawaz talks to Julie Brown of the Miami Herald about the troubling details she heard from victims.
I'm glad (I need a better word) he's finally about to see some consequences but it begs the question why the fuck he didn't already.

This very public kink shaming of Mr Kelly is extremely unfair.
In shit that should surprise no one but is fucked up none the less.
VATICAN CITY — A top cardinal has admitted that the global Catholic Church destroyed files to prevent documentation of decades of sexual abuse of children, telling the prelates attending Pope Francis' clergy abuse summit Feb. 23 that such maladministration led "in no small measure" to more children being harmed.Linkies
In a frank speech to the 190 cardinals, bishops and heads of religious orders taking part in the four-day summit, German Cardinal Reinhard Marx said the church's administration had left victims' rights "trampled underfoot" and "made it impossible" for the worldwide institution to fulfill its mission.
"Files that could have documented the terrible deeds and named those responsible were destroyed, or not even created," said Marx, beginning a list of a number of practices that survivors have documented for years but church officials have long kept under secret.
I sincerely hope this brings about a culture change n the Catholic Church. I'm not really a practicing member atm, but I still consider myself a member and partially credit the priests and CCD teachers for helping me become the person I am today.
It would be great if every Catholic had at least that same quality of experience with no abuse involved in any way, shape, or form.

R. Kelly, one of the most successful R&B acts of all time, was still in jail Sunday afternoon after he failed to immediately produce the $100,000 in cash required to make bail. A judge in Chicago set Kelly's total bond at $1 million on Saturday, a day after he was indicted on 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse against four victims, three of whom would have been underage at the time of the alleged crimes, according to prosecutors. Kelly's bond was set at $250,000 for each of the alleged victims in the case. To leave police custody, he's required to pay 10% of the total, or $100,000.

Cardinal George Pell has been found guilty of sexual offences in Australia, making him the highest-ranking Catholic figure to receive such a conviction.
Pell abused two choir boys in the rooms of a Melbourne cathedral in 1996, a jury found. He had pleaded not guilty.
The verdict was handed down in December, but it could not be reported until now due to legal reasons.
Pell is due to be sentenced on Wednesday. His lawyers say they will appeal against the conviction.
R Kelly practically getting kids to sign sworn affidavits that they're underage prior to having sex

By Bold 2 in One Go To PostThis fucking thread should not be as active as its been.Better get used to it there's tons more predators out there who are getting (or have gotten) away with a bunch of shit. Some will eventually have that dirty laundry aired.
Leaving Neverland's reviews have been.... tough to read.
I'm leaning towards him molesting those kids.
on second thought, yeah, he totally did it.

While he's responsible for his actions, I lay a lot of the blame on his parents (especially his father) and older brothers for stunting the fuck out of him. They were basically just fucking young women right in the room with him there and his dad would just beat the ever living shit out of him. He didn't have a childhood, peers and what he did endure during his formative years would warp the fuck out of anybody.

Yeah sorry no in my opinion, being abused as a child doesn't absolve you from blame.
There was a post on reset about the background of Wade and is a pretty good breakdown. I'm going into this one with a more open mind.
