All things SNES CLASSIC MINI go here!
Custom boxart, custom frames, requests, hack updates, general discussion, etc.. all welcome :)
Really disappointed the SNES Classic game challenges won't be able to continue.
On the other hand, with everyone having so many more games on their systems now, the focus on the included games is probably lessened...
Even though there are a whole bunch of amazing games on the system as it came.
Still, adding Chrono Trigger was too hard to pass up.

That banner is so dope. Glad you made a template. Loving my snes mini. Felt like a kid again when I played for nearly 6 hours with my friend last weekend. We did a medley of all the 2 player games and switched off for some single player in Mega Man X and Super Punch Out.
Good to see you here Earthbound! Yeah the lack of challenges sucks but no reason someone couldn’t recreate it here if there’s an interest?
I'm about half way through Super Mario World. I never played it before getting the Classic, since I never had a SNES growing up. Im really loving it. It's not my favorite 2D Mario (that distinction belongs to Mario 3) but it has been a blast.

Thanks :)
And, yeah, someone could take up the torch of it. The tiers seem fairly easy to predict (1: Beat the game, 2: Complete the game, 3: Glitch the game / something wacky). The main issue would be automating (or making manageable the creation of) the stamps.
Been enjoying Zelda, SMW and DKC with some sprinklings of SFII Turbo with the kids. Wife hasn't been as keen on the mini SNES as the mini NES but hey got the kids loving playing old games with dad so I ain't complaining. Now to just get some damned time alone on the thing :)
Got this the other day, pretty sweet how I can just connect the usb to the tv and work it that way
Wish the controller cable was slightly longer though

Super Mario World is like the warmest blanket ever. A nostalgia feel-bomb.
I can always go back and no matter how shitty the day, that game makes me smile. Helps its fucking amazing and ages like fine wine

It's really unreal. This would have made vacations as an adolescent so much more awesome.
Can't wait to join you guys in this.... I've been wanting to get one of these forever but it's extremely difficult to come across one (at normal retail price) in the UK. Whenever it comes in stock, the fucking scalpers have scooped in within minutes :(
By Fox Mulder Go To PostI still can't find one :(I feel your pain. I missed them on Gamestop online today like 3 times lol.
like
i've got a good SNES with an everdrive hooked up to an XRGB-mini & a panasonic plasma
next to that, ive a late model trinotron with good IQ & component in, with an RGB to component adapter, and a high quality PVM neary
which is to say: i've got options to play SNES. and i still copped a mini, cause save states & star fox 2 finished sounds dope. anyone knocking this is crazy; as a classic sega fan, nearly every clone system is some form of booty buttcheeks. this thing is the truth, and while it's always bullshit that nintnedo understocks its goods, you'd pay through the nose for these carts if you didn't keep them, and you'd play them ugly & stretched to 16:9 and laggy from your TV's shitty internal scalers. this is a godsend for many.

I haven't used mine as much as I would like.
I clocked DKC, played a bit of Super Mario Kart and Super Mario World.

Mainly got mine for my little boy but he's still too young for it (will be 4 in jan). Hands still not big enough for the pad haha. I want to play quite a few of the games but i just bought witcher 3 so might be awhile until i get round to playing it.
I wqs able to get a Target preorder when they dropped. Really enjoying Super Mario World. My son loves watching me play it (he is 2). Not sure what Ill start after finishing it. I really really need a wireless controller for this thing though.
I have one of these with dozens of amazing games on it and I realized I need someone to play them with. I've got a kid on the way but newborns suck at games.
The snes mini is great. I think I've already used it more than my nes mini. Could do with a few more games though. Comparatively. But the two controllers is awesome.

Adding games is not hard at all
By PurpleMug Go To PostAdding games is not hard at allThis is true. Playing Chrono Trigger has been rad ;D

I can't either. When they come in stock I am too busy at work and can't rush to a Target or anything right away then they sell out. Sort of just assuming I won't be getting one at all by this point.
Never played Demon's Crest but I always thought it looked cool visually, I bet it looks sweet with that crt filter. It's fun right?
Well would still be nice if it came with a clean 30 like the nes. Its the same hardware afterall. Anyhow, dat final fantasy 3 (6) intro is amazing for the hardware. It's not hard to see why square was industry leading. It was kind of mind-blowing in how cinematic it was. I haven't really played it much beyond that but damn it's cool!
