and he came over from the second best league in germany. that's a recreational league basically. the jump in quality was insane, not surprising it took him a year to adapt.

Winslow's up to 2 highlights, DY. 2!
Though it's reasonable that you're still upset about that first one. The entire city of Charlotte died that day. Sad.

See that! 3 highlights! And a fourth for destroying Embiid's mask. The man's a superstar.
Amy Adams isn't that great imo. I love Arrival but I would have liked it even more if Emily Blunt/Naomi Harris/ performed Adams' role!
amy adams sucks in everything
can't afford portman or blunt? call amy adams. aint like she got shit to do

ESPN's Kevin Pelton breaks down Summer League and if it can be used predicatively
Notable in the Biggest Overacheivers list

… But when it comes to exceeding expectations, they can't quite match New York Knicks second-round pick Mitchell Robinson.
Despite a relatively strong projection based on his effective play in the 2016 Nike EYBL, Robinson still leads all rookies on this list by virtue of the best per-minute win percentage for any player in summer league this year. Robinson made 67 percent of his 2-point attempts, pulled down more than a quarter of all available offensive rebounds and swatted one in every seven opponent 2-point attempts. He's the early favorite for steal of the draft.

Oh, so it really must be offseason. LEAVE PADME ALONE.
What I've actually been watching this year are a bunch of kung fu films. It started off by finally saying "hmmm, where are all these Wu-Tang samples coming from" and then eventually just diving in head first. I think I'm up to 50. I'm basically now watching the entire Shaw Brothers movie catalog by year, or at least what's available on Amazon. And because why the hell not, I'm not even doing the Prime thing, I'm buying them. "Subscribe for a low fee? Fuck that, I'm committed."
I have to give it up to them. They would crank out about 8 flicks every single year like clockwork. Same actors, same sets. That's how you get shit done.

It always cracks me up when people talk about who can act and who can't because I remember people saying Walt Jr from Breaking Bad did a poor job of playing someone with cerebral palsy.
He wasn’t traded. He was a free agent that didn’t even get a qualifying offer from them last year.
By s y Go To PostThe Master was good. The Fighter? Naaaah.
The Fighter was one of the best films about masculinity & its pitfalls that I’ve ever seen. I thought Bale was awesome in it.
By DY_nasty Go To PostIf you haven't seen The Raid 1 and 2 you are a plantThe Raid 2 is missable imo, but the first one is the best action movie I’ve ever seen. Choreography, pacing, cinematography, it nailed everything.

This is an acceptable use of one’s time. I spent most of high school watching every one of those movies I could find.
If you want the real cream of the crop primo shit, get The Clones of Bruce Lee. It stars Bruce Le, Bruce Lai, Bruce Tai, Dragon Lee and of course Bolo Yeung. It is a remarkable document of 1970s world cinema and one day I will structure a university media course around it.
By Pac-12 Go To PostSending who the fuck for… wasn't McLemore a King before?Garrett Temple is a solid replacement-level player who brings the intangibles.
