By data Go To PostI fed the homeless again this morning.
but mostly it was just to talk to bae that's not my bae but should be my bae. Nah It was alright though.
Your bae is a homeless person?
living in cebu you kind of just had to give food quite often, when what looked like starving kids approached you coming out of a supermarket. me and one of the people i lived with, were offered to huff some glue in return one day, by what seemed like a no older than 10 year old.'
never money though. fuck that. also illegal.

By data Go To PostThat'd make it a lot easierwith you? I somehow doubt it
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostI gave my coworkers christmas cards for the first time in six years today.
Also gave a homeless man a decent sum of money yesterday, actually went to an ATM to withdraw it. I think it was the first time I have ever given one money.
By data Go To PostThat'd make it a lot easiershit serial killers say for 100
I have 2 or 3 days off every month. There's no such thing as having a week off for holidays for me in the last 3 years.
It's alright, I'd rather have the option of having a weekday off than having it on Sunday for example.
There's homeless people, or even people scamming as homeless people in my city most of the time. I try to give a dollar or two when I have change to spare. Trying to profile them as actual homeless or scammers is pointless and dangerous in my opinion.

Phew just finished my Xmas shopping, considering I bought for five people in less than an three hours i'm astounded!
Fuck me ...
Working on the remodel this weekend and while removing baseboard in prep for drywall top coat, we noticed it was soft and water damaged. After removing the drywall I found out that, whomever did the semi-recent master tile shower job (it sucks), didn't water seal the shower correctly. The pan leaks into the wall near the shower damn.
The only way to fix this is to take everything back down to the stud and redo the entire shower.
So I won't be able to use my master bath until maybe bonus time or after because I don't have the funds for an unplanned bathroom remodel in my current scope of work.
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Also ... fuck working in an attic. FUCK IT.

I figure any time you purchase a home some things will eventually need a lot of work especially if someone (or the development company themselves) cheaped the fuck out on installing certain things.

I had fingers crossed something like this wasn’t gonna happen cause I had no contingency for this type of thing. I had one, just not removing tile down to the stud (they tiled every wall in the bathroom too ahhhhhhh) type contingency. There’s time too. I need to move out of my parents. My wife’s sanity depends on it (mine too
If I wasn’t redoing the base board and walls myself that shit woulda sat for another year or more before the mold would grow through 50 years of paint. Coulda been worse. The studs are ok so ok at least.

It looks as if it's never had proper ventilation, the windows definitely need replacing and the vinyl seems to be separating from the boards in areas by the shower and flexing rather than being flat.

Pay less than I was for rent and 2 to 3 parking spaces. I guess a condo wouldn't be horrible...

It can be stressful, but renting a 3 bedroom place in the OC is as much as my mortgage. I find working on my house personally rewarding too. Which is why I hate working in an attic. Lots of work goes on up there and the results aren’t really noticeable.
By blackace Go To Postsounds like it needs attention nowIt does but money, better weather for the window drama that's to happen and having to generally going through contractors, time still needed. Sigh.

I live with m8's in a house a friend bought. Nothing worse than having a person with experience look at your home and notice shit that you clearly got taken advantage of over.

You want to see a shift in energy in a good person? Let "overlooked" house shit pop up: stuff that wasn't disclosed before purchase. Full anime transformation- justice abandoned-. Almost didn't recognize him.

"....and who's fault is that?"
The people we bought our house from tried to hide a ton of stuff from us before the sale, and it was a fairly new home (less than 10 years old). They just sucked as homeowners. The inspectors caught everything and it was all good though. If that stuff had slipped through and we had noticed after the purchase though, it would have been me holding my wife back from beating down a fool, I'm sure.

By Smokey Go To Poststunt on them heux aceI thought about used and a custom remodel... but in the end buying new just made more sense to me...
By blackace Go To Postbought my house new so I had less of that to worry aboutA bunch of new developments in the US at least can need more work than older homes. My parents place I grew up in was built in the late 80s/90s and needed some basic work done. Bad/cheap plumbing and materials versus a well crafted old home, old bones wins out.

My least favorite builds are generally cheap track homes that skimped on lighting. Zero downlights and all switched half hot receptacles for lamps.
My parents cookie cutter suburb house had some bullshit ballast lighting in the kitchen. When those things go out there's nowhere easy to take them and the price? Then the fun of putting it back in. Fuck that.
It was just like that bullshit crappy plastic and all instead it was lined along the cabinet tops and around. It got replaced with potlights you could dim.
That's easier to deal with than the vaulted ceilings we have. It's like 20 feet off the floor even in our kitchen to change a got danged lightbulb.
