(does the image work, the link is crazy long)
So towards the end of the month Bungie is finally redoing raid rewards in what is hopefully is closer to OG Destiny. Anyone want to get a weekly raid team together on PlayStation?
No commitments for weekly, I'd just like to do it weekly :P

I ain't played in a month. Been using Halo 5 Arena to get my PvP fix and Warzone to get my PvE fix, lately. The loot is more meaningful in that game, too.
By Ukumio Go To PostI've never understood Bungie's distaste for people grinding their game. I mean I understand stopping stuff like the Loot Cave (though it was awesome to just put on a podcast, tv show or YT video and just shoot at a cave for an hour or two) but stuff like running around and collecting chests or even doing 28 public events in a row rather then doing a strike or crucible.FF XIV 1.0 had this problem and introduced a crazy system where your XP gain would drop to nil if you were grinding on the same class. It was done in an effort to lessen the gap between hardcore and casual players. Of course, that XP restriction was per-class, so the hardcore people just switched to a different class on the same character and continued to create a huge gap between them and casuals because of cross-class skills.
If people want to grind, let them. I mean I totally understand blocking an exploit, especially if it effects other players but putting a cooldown on chests or public events is just lazy. By that I mean they're too lazy to make their other activities more interesting then running around the EDZ for an hour doing the same 4-5 activities over and over again.
I really wish I could be a fly on the wall during some of Bungie's meetings.
2.0 and on said "fuck it" and took away all grinding penalties and then added a variety of stuff to actually grind for using a variety of different activities and gave daily and weekly bonuses for doing it so casuals would still be able to pick up the stuff they wanted for their favorite class in a reasonable (for an mmo) amount of time.
One of the things they did with this actually helps keep that mmo alive. You get a huge daily bonus for doing doing different tiers of dungeons. They include dungeons for the current content, previous content, story-halting missions, and like four more things, too. This means that new players will be able to easily find match-made groups to tackle low-level dungeons and see older content while still getting relevant-to-current-content rewards.

Wish I could help yall put in work on halo...I'm a gawd, but ms gotta show me something before I buy their console again
I've been playing more Destiny 1 PVP recently.
I've always been quite average at it but on the whole it's leagues better than D2.

I'm just so baffled at how much they don't want folks playing their game. As if farming pubs and lost sectors for tokens needed a cooldown. They couldn't just deal with the actual chest bug. Instead they forget how most folks play, which is they set aside a block of time. All that cooldown does is tell people to get bent. The game is so ass backwards about well shit everything but especially gear distribution. They already put a cap on what one individual can deposit towards the greater faction win so it's literally hurting no one and nothing that people are farming tokens for themselves. I guess though it's taking away from the desperation folks might have to go buy their bullshit ghost. I don't think people are making that connection much yet. They only consistent priority in this game so far has been "pls buy silver."
Not sure if it matters to Destiny or if it's related, but:
Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg will step down in March, according to a statement released today.
Hirshberg will be well known to fans of the Call of Duty series. He has regularly appeared on stage to boost each iteration of the shooter series. He also helped to shepherd the challenging, but successful launch of the Destiny series.
Honestly, I'm not sure how much of an impact the CEO had on the franchise as a whole, especially in regards to all the problems they seem to be facing.
Didn't see this posted on here but Bungie is looking for another community manager.
It's been confirmed that no one is leaving (though everyone suspected DeeJ was) and its just another people to help listen to and communicate with the community. My guess is its to lighten the strain on Cozmo because he has a kid now.

Bungie apologized. Again. For the same shit.
Fan criticism has centred around an unexplained cooldown system which locks players out of rewards when obtained too frequently - ie. simply by playing at a normal pace.
The discovery sparked outrage among Destiny fans still smarting over a another hidden cooldown system found in the past. And the whole thing wasn't helped by Bungie having promised only last week that it had turned over a new leaf of transparency to try and settle its salty community.
"There was an issue in the previous Faction Rallies where players were earning hundreds of Faction Tokens per hour without firing a single shot. In the recent December 12 update, Faction Token rewards were added to an existing system that was locking players out from Lost Sector Rewards. We have heard player feedback that this solution was too disruptive.http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-01-19-bungie-apologises-again-after-another-bad-week-for-destiny-2

To me Sandbox changes are the most important and well underwhelmed for sure.
SANDBOX
Prometheus Lens
Flame Refraction perk now generates ammo instead of pulling from reserves
Increased base damage
Lucky Pants
Fixed an issue where the Illegally Modded Holster perk could provide infinite ammo
Ophideans Aspects
Fixed an issue where the Cobra Totemic perk did not function properly when using weapons with the Quickdraw perk
I Am Alive
Revised perks on the Eater of Worlds Grenade Launcher to include a second trait perk: Moving Target
Removed the Augmented Drum and High-Velocity Rounds perks
Fixed an issue where grenade projectiles could remain indefinitely after being hit by Telesto in the Crucible

Also I'll have to just use a test subject armor it says it might also change stats? I don't know what that means but I'll be pissed if it means it fucks up my Recovery stacking.
So a good and a bad thing you can reroll stats on armor but cores don't come easy but it also rerolls it on armor you like the stats on jfc.

basically everyone is stacking recover and armor now. pvp is going to be filled with even more hit and run fukkery.
i'm not coming back until dlc 2 because i've already paid for it
I mean I get it but I'd just prefer a way to control your gear without DICE. They are so obsessed with DICE.
You know a nice fix would be not to throw people/join progress into games you just fucking call less than 1 min later.

so make armor even less unique than it already was lmao
Here's the deal--their vision for the game is bad. It's just that simple. We're going from bad fixable issues to --"well this just might not be a very good game" kind of issues. Core issues that take a new philosophy and a sequel to fix.
Where Bungie's weakness for direction really shows is Crucible imo. It's just people in roving bands of 3 or more. That's upper level pvp play. Snooze.

"Weapon and Sandbox changes: March 27"
why in the unholy fuck has it taken this long to address this shit
Still aren't even directly talking about ttk or shorter cooldowns or buffing nades. So crucible still gonna be crap.
speed increase is okay, but with a TTK you're just gonna get disengagements which = team shot meta still
now if they removed the strength of the radar so you could use that increased speed for more flanks and outplays....that'd change things

By Dark PhaZe Go To Postspeed increase is okay, but with a TTK you're just gonna get disengagements which = team shot meta stillI was caught off guard the first couple matches in Halo 5 how people could still somewhat stealthily flank even with radar on. That would be a nice change for Destiny.

The only other thing they mentioned were vague buffs for weapons but they didn't get anymore specific so who knows if it's even to damage or if it is to weapons that are ridiculous weak right now. Basically clear, direct and transparent communication isn't their forte.
im hoping, that this long ass delay on any sandbox change means a significant overhaul
if not, and this dlc goes in the same direction lore wise as the leak indicates, then lol.

I want my mida back to what it used to be, impact toned the hell down on everything, nonscouts to have their distance nerfed a bit, Destiny loves it jumps but bungie decided in D2 you'd just be on delay in air for some reason? I was doing pretty solid with better devils but the bloom, slow reload and lack of letting me go vert were killing it for me. Also MM is just so bad, there will be a point in which the game is just premade after premade with dicks from Trials darkest houring my ass 2 or 3 together.

that's not terrible
i guess we'll find out in another 2 months lol

Sigh. I mean it's not the wrong direction but it's just so sad and sluggish.
Sigh. I mean it's not the wrong direction but it's just so sad and sluggish.
After 10 is like nothing but premade tryhard nonsense. Glad bungie could make the meta based around teamshotting, because they really gotta stick it to solo players even though they make up the fucking bulk of who keeps playing destiny even as they release nothing new. I am just routinely baffled at the decision making of this game.
Playing Crucible to get my mind off some indigestion issues and god damn, like, you'd think it'd be simple enough not to matchmake you against the very same team of 4 who already ruined your night the next game. But nope. JFC.
