Josh Brolin is an out of nowhere choice. I'm fine with it, just really surprised by this.
Josh Brolin has nabbed the hotly contested role of Cable opposite Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 2, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The production has been on the warpath to find the right actor for the role for months, with Michael Shannon almost nabbing the role and Stranger Things star David Harbour on the shortlist. (There were even rumors of conversations with Russell Crowe and Brad Pitt.)
In the end, Brolin emerged as a surprise contender, notching his second Marvel Comics character in the process; the actor plays the villain Thanos in the Marvel Studios movies. Sources say Brolin's deal is for four movies.

How the hell does Brolin get two jobs.
I mean I get that playing Thanos means you only show up for about 30 seconds but still, role should have went to someone else.

Cable bores me to tears. It's a natural fit.

Thought Pitt was a good change of pace and a nice surprise. Suppose it doesn't really matter as it's the SFX department that makes the real difference in these superhero films.
The first film was the only superhero movie in recent memory that I thought did the character justice and made me want to see more. It wasn't amazing, and the villain, and threat were lacking but it did a good job of getting away from the normal garbage that these pictures end up being about.

Daredevil has nothing to do with Marvel universe, Brolin is a good choice.
