Thor: Ragnarok Teaser Trailer
This looks awesome. The 80s rgb fade logo thing is so cool, and this looks like it's drawing on a lot of the best Thor stories (also Planet Hulk). If he doesn't get his ass beat in a hopeless battle against the Celestials I'll be sad.
Not a Disney/Marvel fan, but it's a good trailer. I don't know why they're going with the 80's font choice. That aesthetic has nothing to do with the rest of the visuals.

Good trailer like you said, whole vibe felt like GotG. Which is probably a good thing. The first two were awful but maybe this will be fun at least.

By s y Go To PostThe first two were awful but maybe this will be fun at least. My man. The Thor movies are legit the worst thing in the Marvel catalog. Thor is painfully dull and Thor 2 is just unspeakably awful.
I have faith in Taika Waititi, though. What We Do in the Shadows in incredible.

They're going for a bold primary colour aesthetic that's evocative of his origins in old school 4-colour printing comics:
Thor also had a heyday in the 1980s under Walt Simonson, I'm guessing the producers were handed a stack of the best Thor stories (the hammer getting smashed is from an 80s story) and the 80s connection fell into place.
I think that might've been the best Marvel trailer ever and easily the right direction for Thor to go in after the painful first two movies.
