Where's the racism?
Yikes that is pretty bad.
However, during Black History Month you will often find people who think it's funny to crack jokes about black stereotypes, as this comic does. Sometimes they're just ignorant, other times they're toolbags who know exactly what they're doing.
Either way it's poor form and I'm surprised that got printed.
Imagine some cartoonist in Germany printing a joke about Jewish noses on January 27. It's like that.
It's gone straight past me.The point of Black History Month in the United States is to ensure that every American generation going forward is aware of slavery and segregation and the like. It is a solemn occasion on which people are supposed to reflect on some of the worst sins of our society. Or, if you're not willing to do that, just keep your mouth shut.
