A bit of weed and or music/podcasts the cleaning won't feel as much of a tedious job tbh. I don't even need the weed anymore, I just clean with a podcast going now.
By DY_nasty Go To PostOne side of my family loved turning early Saturday mornings into complete homestead renovation projects and I'm traumatized til this day
Sounds like a nightmare
By Patriotism Go To PostSounds like a nightmaredy is also not alone in this. that is something my mom loves to do. i never even got a chance to finish watching all my saturday morning cartoons as a kid. it was going to dust the whole house, mop, sweep, mow the lawn, pick up the clippings, clean the carport, wash the cars and lawnmower, catch up on laundry, etc.
Am I alone in having never heard of a carport until just now?
Don't think I've ever seen one over here, wonder if it's just because our driveways tend to be in front of houses where it looks like a fixed carport goes at the side

By domino Go To Posti think carports are kind of a southern/rural thing
Being on the east coast for almost 3 years
I…think you may be right.

Then come back inside and help everyone else turn the house inside out. Not just vacuum but legit hardwood maintenance and all wall fixtures removed shit.
If I was *really* fast and weather permitted - I'd get enjoy setting up the burn pit. And ofc the next day was church so I'm up at 600.
I didn't dislike that side of my family yet, but even as a kid I knew that was fucking ridiculous. Imagine my fucking surprise when I joined the military and it was more chill. Even today I keep my place a mess because the chaos relaxes me.
I like a little light mess. Like a “company is coming over in 30 mins lemme clean up real quick” thing
I was my families landscaper from about 9 years on, I thought it was normal, even my grandparents would have me do all kinds of handyman work as a kid when I went over there. I'm not gonna lie, I see my nephews not doing anything and hate, like I was painting my grandparents fence in the middle of July, meanwhile these dudes have never pushed a lawnmower.

I was remodeling our deck, laying down whole ass log barriers against our driveway, and treating the playset in middle school. My brother never been in a home depot for anything more than a phone charger 🤣 he been sleeping in his whole life
"You're family - why can't you relate more?" Be real lmao
